The Hive Soda Bar Is Opening September 28!

We’ve been keeping a pretty big secret, and we’re finally ready to share it.

The Hive Soda Bar & More officially opens Monday, September 28, 2026!

The Hive is a brand-new concept brought to you by Rustic Route Coffee Co. After years of roasting coffee, building our small business, meeting so many incredible customers, and dreaming about what could come next, we decided it was time to create a place where you can actually come hang out with us.

And The Hive is that place.

More Than a Soda Bar

The Hive was created to be a fun, welcoming gathering spot with something for just about everyone.

Our menu will feature dirty sodas, specialty lemonades, cold brew coffee, sweet treats, grab-and-go favorites, and more. Whether you’re stopping in for an morning drink, grabbing something on the go, or trying a completely new flavor combination, we want The Hive to be a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

But there’s another part of The Hive that we’re especially excited about.

Rustic Route Coffee Is Coming With Us

The Hive will also be home to Rustic Route Coffee Co.

Our coffee roasting operation will be right there, which means you’ll be able to see where the coffee you’ve been drinking for years is actually roasted.

You can watch us roast coffee while you enjoy your drink.

You’ll get a behind-the-scenes look at the roasting process, smell freshly roasted coffee coming out of the roaster, and see firsthand how Rustic Route coffee goes from green coffee beans to the coffee in your cup.

For us, that’s one of the most exciting parts of this next chapter. Rustic Route has always been about more than simply selling bags of coffee. Now we’ll finally have a space where we can share more of what we do with you.

A New Chapter

Opening The Hive feels like a huge step for our small business.

What started with Rustic Route Coffee and a love for roasting great coffee has grown into something we never could have completely imagined when we started.

The Hive gives us the opportunity to bring together two things we love: making great drinks and creating a place where people can gather.

We want it to be somewhere teenagers hang at lunch school, friends can meet up, families can grab a treat, and coffee lovers can come see what’s happening behind the scenes at Rustic Route.

Most importantly, we want The Hive to feel like a part of the community.

After months of planning, designing, building menus, testing drinks, choosing equipment, and working through all the little details that go into opening a new business, we’re almost there.

We can’t wait to open the doors, fire up the coffee roaster, start pouring drinks, and finally show you what we’ve been working on.
